Personally, I gravitated towards the gym due to its adaptability to my daily schedule, be it early morning, afternoon, or evening. Its accessibility, always open and ready, played a crucial role. I discovered added motivation by donning headphones and immersing myself in motivational speeches and intense music while pushing my limits with weights. Furthermore, witnessing my progress became a source of addiction.

Recognize that not everyone is the same. If you haven’t found a sport you’re passionate about yet, I encourage you to explore different options until you discover the one that resonates with you the most. In the context of this article, I will use the gym as a central reference point for our discussion.

Don’t stop your bad habbits

In my view, this is the most crucial strategy for successfully shifting your mindset.

I understand that this might appear contrary to the overarching goal of this article, but it’s essential to comprehend that after a prolonged period of indulging in detrimental habits, an abrupt 180-degree shift in your routine will likely prove ineffective. From a psychological standpoint, such a drastic change may lead your subconscious to perceive it as self-punishment, ultimately resulting in relapse into your weaknesses. Recognize that this is a mental battle. Your unhealthy habits are the silent adversaries you must acknowledge, and neglecting them entirely can lead to a severe backlash, causing you to lose motivation and feel like a failure.

What personally aided me in overcoming my bad habits was initially using them as a reward. Yes, for me, it was the only way to incentivize myself to stay committed to my fitness goals during the week while still allowing myself to ‘indulge’ in these habits on the weekend.

However, it’s crucial to maintain strict discipline in this ‘cheat’ day regimen and designate Saturday night as your last indulgence. On Sundays, you should reprogram your mindset, understanding that Monday is approaching, and it’s time to refocus, rejuvenate, and prepare for the week ahead with clarity and motivation. Failing to do so and continuing indulgence on Sundays can lead to consequences on Monday, potentially derailing the most critical day of the week and jeopardizing your entire workweek.

Natural progress

As you embark on your gym journey, engaging in weightlifting, you’ll notice a transformation in your body’s demands. It will crave nourishment to grow stronger and require ample rest for enhanced daily performance. Over time, you’ll naturally become more attuned to your body’s needs, fostering a desire to care for it better. This may lead to reduced smoking/drinking, a researcg for healthier eating habits, and improved sleep quality.

Reaching this pivotal checkpoint will bring an overwhelming sense of satisfaction and self-pride. You’ll be driven to maintain and continuously enhance your well-being with each passing day.

Your physique is the physical manifestation of your mind, you can’t buy it, you can’t make anyone do the work for you, you cannot shortcut the process. The effort you put in and the sucrifices you make, they are all there, sculpted in muscle. Its a testimont in your discipline. Every rep, every swet drop echos your mental strength.

This will set you into the midset of sucess, you will get addicted into the process of becoming successful day by day, and conquer this world.

I used to take notes on pieces of paper and torn-off corners and backs of old envelopes. I wrote ideas on restaurant placemats. On long sheets, narrow sheets and little sheets and pieces of paper thrown in a drawer. Then I found out that the best way to organize those ideas is to keep a journal. I’ve been keeping these journals since the age of twenty-five. The discipline makes up a valuable part of my learning, and the journals are a valuable part of my library.
